Camp Cutlery

When planning for camp, we make sure the girls have their knife, fork and spoon easily identifed.

The girls are given several colors of Sculpey, a polymer clay product that is cured in the oven and they use dowels and bottles to roll out the clay and impress designs with other colors of clay.

The metal handles of the cutlery are wrapped in the sculpey and baked in the oven for a short time.

Once baked the clay is permanently adhered to the handle which makes it easy to idenify in the murkiest of dish water.

Spoons are never lost again, and forks are quickly retrieved from the drying rack.
