Treasure Box Keepsake
This year our Spark unit decided to try something a little different.
We started writing to a Spark unit in Regina Saskatchewan.
Back and forth their contact Guider and I would send meeting Ideas and
suggestions.
The attached is one of my favorite ideas that I wanted to share with
everyone.
Girl Guide Treasure Box Keepsake
We took a plain old shoe box and covered it with packing paper.
We took pictures from the national clip art file and printed them off onto
clear labels.
We bought craft supplies such as:
- Butterflies and flowers
- Beads
- Jewels
- Sparkles and Glitter
- Markers and Crayons
- Lots of glue
- and other girly decorations.
We put the stickers and other supplies out on the tables and the girls went
to town making some of the greatest treasure boxes I have ever seen. Each one
was unique and special to each Spark. The box was used to put in the letters,
gifts, badges, pins and other treasures we received throughout the year and for
many years to come.
