Girl Guides of Canada- Guides du Canada 100th Anniversary Celebrations

Happy Birthday Girl Guides!  

 

  • Party Template for Districts and Units
    • Happy Birthday Girl Guides!
    • The Launch Party Crests are now also available on line at the National store.  If you have placed an order through your area you will be receiving those early in January either by direct mail or through the committee system depending on the area.  Talk to your commissioner if you have any questions or email ab2010@albertagirlguides.com
    • For the bingo card game that is suggested in the Launch Party Template, Melissa at the Provincial office can generate as many cards as you will need - contact her directly at adminassist{at}albertagirlguides.com. Also - inside the most recent Canadian Guider there was a CD for Contact Unit Guiders and some Advisers that also had a bingo game on it (with 15 unique cards).  You can also download the bingo card here. There is also a black and white version
    • There's also a "100 years of Highlights" which contains highlights of our Guiding history by decade for the past 100 years
    • There is a simple sign here with the launch party logo and "Girl Guides were here!" to which you can add your unit number and name and date if you like and post this near your ice castle if you build one during the Launch Party!

National Rally Day  

Please note: with respect to the National Rally Day merchandise the Rally Day crest will be pre-ordered by the province for ALL the participants registered to attend one of the 11 Rally locations in AB/NT/YK (and will NOT be available for purchase through the on-line store as it is a participant crest) and then that the Rally Day t-shirt will ONLY be available for purchase through the national on-line store

Who: Spark, Brownie, Guide, Pathfinder, Trex and Ranger Units, Lones, Adults

Where: Barrhead, Calgary, Drumheller, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Innisfail, Lethbridge, Lloydminster, Medicine Hat, NWT (tba), Whitehorse

When: Saturday, May 15, 2010

Cost: $5 per participant girl / youth / adult (remainder subsidized by Alberta Council)

What: National Rally Day is a once in a lifetime chance to celebrate all things Guiding with Members from coast to coast on the same day! All 11 locations in Alberta, NWT, and Yukon will deliver the same rally which will celebrate our rich history and the many aspects of Guiding in Canada and around the world. For girls and Guiders, the rally will be a time to celebrate their love of Guiding and the role that Guiding plays in their lives.

How to register: Register through the provincial office between Jan 15 and Feb 25, 2010 using a special form (also in PDF) and direct emailed to all adult Members. 

Wouldn’t it be great if all Members attended a Rally??
